In October 2020 (Reiwa 2), the Imuraya Group absorbed Fukui Shuzojo (福井酒造場) in a merger and took over its business. In 2021 (Reiwa 3), the senior staff of Fukui Shuzojo moved to the Imuraya Group and began brewing sake at the sake brewery inside VISON, a commercial resort complex. On July 20, 2021, Fukuwagura opened.
