What to expect: [Free tour] Visitors are free to walk around the sake brewery at their own pace. See staff carefully applying labels to each bottle by hand, and the many tanks lined up inside. [Tasting] After the tour, you can taste recommended sake. Enjoy it on the second floor, where tools once used in sake brewing are on display. [Happi coat experience] Put on a Sennen Ichi original happi (traditional Japanese coat) and take a commemorative photo of your visit. We recommend taking it in front of the large barrel. [Shopping] The shop offers sake sold only at the brewery, snacks that pair well with sake, and ochoko (small sake cups). Look for souvenirs for yourself, your family and your friends.
Notes: Sennen Ichi Shuzo is in Higashiura (東浦), in the northern part of Awaji Island, which is rich in food from both the mountains and the sea. It is about 15 minutes by car after crossing the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge. The brewery is a small sake brewery, well suited to the name "tsukuri-zakaya" (a brewery-owned sake maker). You can enjoy a tour and a sake tasting. Small groups without a reservation can tour free of charge if they contact the brewery in advance. We sincerely look forward to welcoming you.
