Calorie

カロリーかろりー
A calorie is a unit of energy that indicates how much energy a food or beverage provides to the body. Specifically, one calorie is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one gram of water by 1°C. When the nutritional value of food is labeled, it is usually expressed in kilocalories (kcal), and one kilocalorie is equivalent to 1,000 calories. Alcoholic beverages such as sake also contain calories, which come mainly from their sugar and alcohol content. The calorie content of sake depends on its production process and ingredients, and one serving (about 180 ml) generally contains roughly 150 to 200 kcal. For this reason, when managing your health, it is important to be aware of calories in comparison with similar beverages.
