Inorganic compound

無機化合物むきかごうぶつ
Inorganic compounds are, in general, compounds that do not contain carbon. They include water, table salt (sodium chloride), sodium hydroxide, and hydrochloric acid. Some substances that do contain carbon, such as carbon dioxide and calcium carbonate, are also generally treated as inorganic compounds because of their chemical properties and usage. Inorganic compounds play an important role in the production of beverages and foods, and many of them are involved in sake brewing. For example, salts present as mineral components affect the taste and aroma of sake, so understanding inorganic compounds is important for improving sake quality.
