農産物検査法のうさんぶつけんさほう
The Agricultural Products Inspection Act (Nosanbutsu Kensa Ho) is a Japanese law that establishes a national inspection system to guarantee the quality and standards of the country's agricultural products. The purpose of the law is to promote fair and smooth trade in agricultural products and to help improve their quality. It also contributes to the development of the agricultural economy and the rationalization of consumption. Based on this law, the Agricultural Products Standards Regulations (農産物規格規程) have been established, setting out specific brands and criteria. Under these regulations, items such as non-glutinous paddy-grown brown rice (suitou uruchi genmai) and brown rice for brewing (jozoyo genmai) are inspected according to the standards, with the aim of providing consumers with agricultural products of a quality they can use with confidence.
