Hitohadakan (body-temperature warmed sake)

人肌燗ひとはだかん
Hitohadakan is one of the temperature ranges used when warming sake (kan), referring to a temperature of around 35°C. This temperature is close to the warmth of human skin felt in the palm of the hand. It brings out the mellowness and aroma of sake, and is considered an easy-drinking temperature that is especially gentle on a chilled body. Because the sake is not warmed too much, its delicate flavors are not lost and its rich taste can be enjoyed, which makes hitohadakan a popular way to drink sake in any season.
