Date Seven (ダテセブン) is a project in which seven breweries in Miyagi Prefecture, including Katsuyama, Urakasumi, Suminoe, Hakurakusei, Yamawa, Hagi no Tsuru and Koganesawa, join forces to brew sake together with the aim of improving their brewing skills. Drawing on each brewery's particular strengths, the project brews sake with a different concept over seven years. The first series has ended, and SEASON 2 is now under way. Limited-edition sake is released every year on July 7, sharing the appeal of Miyagi sake with Japan and the world.
