Ion exchange resin

イオン交換樹脂いおんこうかんじゅし
Ion exchange resin is a synthetic resin that selectively adsorbs and releases specific ions. It is mainly classified into three types: cation exchange resins, anion exchange resins, and amphoteric exchange resins. In sake production, it is used mainly for water purification and for deacidification. Because it can improve the quality of the sake, it plays an important role in sake brewing. In particular, by removing impurities and metal ions from water, ion exchange resin helps produce sake that is clearer and richer in flavor.
