Usunigori (lightly cloudy sake)

うすにごりうすにごり
Usunigori refers to nigori sake with an especially slight cloudiness. Nigori sake is normally cloudy because fine particles such as rice solids and yeast remain in it, but usunigori contains fewer of these particles and has a relatively clear appearance. Its flavor is somewhat soft, and it tends to show a fruity aroma and sweetness. Because there is no clear definition, the finished style and degree of cloudiness vary from one brewery to another. In general, it is popular with those who want a sake that is easy to drink and refreshing.
