About

In the latter half of the Edo period, Hoshi Matauemon (一星又右エ門) crossed the Ou Mountains and settled in the Akita region. Inspired by the sake brewing of this great ancestor, the brewery staked its prestige on this junmai ginjo sake. While highlighting the umami of the rice, it is dry, with a sharp, clean finish that never tires the palate. It is a well-balanced sake that pairs well with food. Akita local sake (jizake) is also available as gifts, through online sales, and for mail-order purchase.
