Hydrogen peroxide solution

Hydrogen peroxide solution is a chemical used mainly for disinfection and sterilization. It is generally sold at a concentration of 30 to 35%, and at this concentration it is diluted with water by a factor of 10 to 30 before use. Because cleanliness is extremely important in sake brewing, it is used to sterilize equipment and facilities such as tanks and brewing rooms. Hydrogen peroxide breaks down into water and oxygen, so it leaves very little residue, which makes it an ideal disinfectant.
