Nakago

Nakago (中郷) is known as one of the Nada Gogo (the Five Districts of Nada). It is located in Higashinada Ward, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, and corresponds in particular to the central part of Kaminadame. Renowned as a sake-producing area, it benefits from good-quality water and climate, and a variety of sake breweries are gathered here. Sake from Nakago is characterized by a robust flavor and rich aroma, and the brewing is carried out with a strong sense of local pride.
