About

Founded in 1835 (Tenpo 6), the brewery began producing koshu (aged sake) in the Showa 40s (1965-1974) and today focuses on sake that has been slowly matured over many years. Juunen Koshu, a well-balanced blend of koshu that has aged for more than ten years, is the brewery's flagship sake. The aroma is full, with sweet notes reminiscent of dried fruit as well as a spicy fragrance. It has a substantial body and a rich, melting sweetness. This is the classic sake of Daruma Masamune, which won first place at TTSA2018. It was carried on JAL international first-class flights for three years, making it a renowned sake.
