About
【Flavor】 This sake has a fruity character, a solid sweetness and umami from the rice, and a clean finish that flows smoothly down the throat. Its refreshing quality was the main focus of development. It does not taste watered down as a sake, yet it has no harsh alcohol sting, with an alcohol content of 14%. Please chill it well in the refrigerator before serving. For those who are not strong drinkers, on the rocks is also recommended. 【What is Nyufeisu?】 Nyufeisu is a project team of five female students from the Ito Tatsushi seminar in the Faculty of Economics and Science at Niigata University. The team works with the belief that 'young people should also be able to enjoy sake deliciously.' 【Development Background】 Many young people around the team have a sense of aversion toward sake. With the wish that more young people could easily pick up sake and discover how good it is, they decided to develop this product. During development, they thoroughly surveyed what people dislike about sake. Based on that, they conveyed many requests to Naeba Shuzo regarding mouthfeel, flavor, finish and throat feel. The most memorable was their heartfelt wish: 'Even though we want people unfamiliar with sake to drink it, we do not want to blur the essence of sake's deliciousness.' In response, Takeda, the head of production for 'Kamosu Mori,' developed several products. The team tasted each one, and also tried various serving temperatures, on the rocks, and soda mixes. The final flavor was chosen on that basis. The design of the bottle, label and neck tag was also selected and produced after many meetings between Naeba Shuzo and Nyufeisu, focusing on how to make it easier for people unfamiliar with sake to pick up. 【Comment from Nyufeisu】 After tasting many sakes and repeating tastings, with the cooperation of Naeba Shuzo, we completed our ideal sake. It retains the inherent deliciousness of sake while having a clean taste that even beginners can drink easily. We especially hope that people who have never had sake, or who tried it once and developed an aversion, will drink it. Of course, sake lovers can also enjoy it. Please give 'Watanome' a try.
