Prokaryote

原核生物げんかくせいぶつ
Prokaryotes are organisms whose DNA is not enclosed by a nuclear membrane, meaning their cells have no nucleus. This category mainly includes bacteria and archaea. Prokaryotes are single-celled organisms with a simple cell structure and no complex organelles. As a result, their genetic information is located in a region of the cytoplasm called the nucleoid. Prokaryotes are considered the oldest form of life on Earth, and they are able to survive under a wide range of environmental conditions.
