About

This junmai sake is brewed with Ginpu, a sake rice grown in Hokkaido that is known for its rich flavor. Hokkaido has so many delicious foods. The role of local sake (jizake) is to make those good foods even better by drawing out their flavors. We wanted this sake to be made with Hokkaido ingredients as well. The raw material is Ginpu, a sake rice from Hokkaido. Its larger grains have a chalky core called shinpaku, and sake brewed with this rice is highly valued for its smooth, soft roundness. The rice has also won gold at the Annual Japan Sake Awards. Compared with other Hokkaido sake rice, Ginpu has a distinctive, deeply flavorful character. It is an ideal match for good food. Unpretentious, yet delicious. It is good chilled, good at room temperature, and good warmed (kan). Because it pairs easily with good food, it makes everyday meals more enjoyable. Ishoku dogen, the idea that food and medicine share the same origin. It is recommended for your evening drink.
