About

In line with the 2020 renewal of this Junmai Daiginjo, Suisei (彗星), a sake rice grown in Sorachi, is polished to 38% and brewed using only rice and rice koji, with off-flavors kept to a minimum. Recommended serving: on the rocks at 0-5°C, chilled at 5-10°C, or at room temperature. Food pairings: isobeyaki (grilled mochi rice cakes), ebi chili (shrimp in chili sauce), dried fruit, and salted sea urchin. The label was brushed by singer-songwriter Masashi Sada, a goodwill ambassador for Shintotsukawa Town, where Kinteki is based. A portion of sales from this product is donated to the Kaze ni Tatsu Lion Fund, a public interest foundation established by Sada, and is used to support medical and recovery projects during major disasters.
