About

Each year the 59 Jo members set a shared material and theme, and each member interprets it in their own way to brew a "59 Jo sake." This year, 2023, marks the group's ninth year. The shared theme is the same as in 2018: Kinmon Nishiki with a rice polishing ratio of 59%. The theme is "tokin" (promoted pawn). Just as a shogi fuhyo (pawn) grows into a gold (tokin), how has each sake grown and changed since 2018? Enjoy each member's own tokin-style 59 Jo sake.
