About

Founded in 1882 (Meiji 15), Kunimare Sake Brewery is the northernmost sake brewery in Japan. It brews with clear water from the Shokanbetsu mountain range in the bitterly cold Hokkaido winter, and with Gohyakumangoku, a sake rice (sakagura tekiyo mai) selected for brewing. This tokubetsu junmai dry sake brings out the umami of rice, yet has a crisp, smooth drinking quality.
