About

In the sixth year since he began serving as toji (master brewer), the eighth-generation head of Kurodabushi Shuzo (Osato Shuzo) has, this year, taken on the brewing of this Junmai Ginjo, Matabee, which he had long prepared for. Although Goto Matabei Motsugu (後藤又兵衛基次) is counted among the Kuroda Twenty-Four Riders, he is said to have been a lone warrior. True to his name, this sake belongs to none of the Kurodabushi styles and is one of a kind. It offers a soft aroma, rice umami that spreads when taken into the mouth, and a finish that lingers after swallowing.
