About

Elegant, refined flavor with a fragrant aroma and smooth taste. The drinking experience is like silk. The hōō (phoenix) is a legendary bird said to appear only in times of peace. Many people associate the phoenix with the 鳳 (ō-tori), but the hōō comes as a pair: 鳳 is the male and 凰 is the female. The flavor of this daiginjo is not the fierce image of the male bird but the graceful, gentle image of the female 凰, which is why it was named Ho. The label calligraphy was brushed by Kuiseko Hakuju (Sensei), a leading figure in Japan's calligraphy world.
