About

Founded in 1885 (Meiji 18), the Sudo Honke brewery is located in Kimitsu, a city that prospered as the castle town of Kururi Castle (久留里城). The flagship junmai sake of Sudo Honke, known as "Amanohara", is praised for its dry character, clean finish (kire), and smooth throat feel. It is recommended warmed to lukewarm (nurukan).
