About

Specially brewed at the request of Jisho-ji Temple (Ginkakuji), this Junmai Ginjo sake contains pure silver leaf. It is used at various ceremonies held at Ginkakuji Temple. The rice flavor is rich, and it is brewed to pair easily with meals. It is recommended for auspicious occasions and for toso (a spiced medicinal sake traditionally drunk at New Year). Matsui Shuzo is the only sake brewer commissioned by Jisho-ji Temple (Ginkakuji) to supply its sake. Similar products exist, but they have no connection to our brewery. Please be cautious. Due to limited production volume, Hakuginkaku is available only within the temple grounds. If you would like to purchase it, please contact us.
