About

Specially brewed at the request of Yoshida Shrine, this dry Honjozo is designed for warming. Yoshida Shrine is the birthplace of the Setsubun festival. This sake is dry enough to startle even demons, with a firm, crisp finish. It is well suited to atsukan (hot-warmed sake). Matsui Shuzo is the only zoshushi (造酒司, an official sake brewer) entrusted by Yoshida Shrine with supplying its sake.
