About

Released each year at year's end as the first sake of the new season, this junmai ginjo “Arabashiri” is a seasonal offering. Arabashiri refers to the sake that flows first when the moromi (fermentation mash) is pressed. The sake is then known by different names as the pressing progresses. This junmai ginjo Arabashiri, however, is named not for the pressing stage but for being the first sake shipped from the brewery (kuradashi) in the year's brewing. While keeping the delicate balance of the regular Junmai Ginjo, it offers the umami and freshness characteristic of namazake (unpasteurized sake), along with a refreshing fruitiness reminiscent of apple that glides smoothly into the mouth. Please enjoy its elegant, clear-textured taste and aroma.
