About
Pressed from moromi (fermentation mash) with no water added at any stage, this genshu (undiluted sake) has an alcohol content of 19% or higher. It is a sweet sake that has been cherished continuously in the brewery's home region. It is sweet and soft on the palate, yet light and clean, leaving no lingering aftertaste. The secret behind this gentle character, despite an alcohol content of 19% or higher, lies in brewing with extremely soft water and in the traditional techniques of Hiroshima toji (master brewers). [Preserving the Freshness of Shiboritate] Kura Kiji is not diluted with water at all after the moromi is pressed. Furthermore, while pasteurization is usually carried out twice, this sake is pasteurized only once, at the time of bottling. In this way, we bring you the fresh, just-pressed flavor as it is. [Recommended Pairings] It pairs well with dishes with sweet and savory seasoning, such as nikujaga (simmered meat and potatoes), okonomiyaki (savory Japanese pancake), and yakiniku (grilled meat) with tare (sweet soy-based sauce). [Suggested Ways to Enjoy] Because this is a genshu with an alcohol content of 19% or higher, it is also recommended on the rocks with ice cubes. If the alcohol feels too strong, try diluting it with water to find the strength that suits your taste. It can be a pleasant exploration. Volume: 720 mL x 1 bottle (in a dedicated gift box) Ingredients: Rice (domestic), rice koji (made with domestic rice), brewer's alcohol, sugars Storage: Store away from direct sunlight in a cool, dark place. Refrigeration is recommended. Once opened, please consume as soon as possible.
