The description cites Kishu Nanko plums, reduced sugar, a dry finish, and a sake-lees shochu blend that adds aroma, pointing to a fragrant and moderately light profile. The 16% alcohol and fructose sweetening give some body without much sweetness.

About

Each plum is carefully stemmed by hand. Instead of the commonly used rock sugar, we use fructose, a sugar abundant in fruit. By greatly reducing the amount of added sugar, we have finished it as a dry-style umeshu, so it may appeal to those who are mindful of calories. We blended in a homemade honkaku shochu distilled solely from Tengumai Daiginjo sake lees, adding an extra aroma.
