Yamamoto Junmai Ginjo Ukiuki
山本 純米吟醸 うきうきYamamoto — YAMAMOTO Brewery, Akita
Ukiuki was the phrase the brewer, Yamamoto, had in mind when picturing spring. It has no deeper meaning, and that is just fine.

About
A close friend who runs a sake shop advised, "By February the market is getting tired of drinking nama genshu, so if you release a crisp namazake, I think it will sell." Taking that advice, the brewery developed this product. Its alcohol content is on the low side, in the 14% range, but even as a genshu it reaches the 15% range, so it does not taste thin. The vivid colors of the label and its light, airy flavor have made it very popular with women.
