About

In 1977, this sake became the first sake in the world to win a gold medal at the Monde Selection. Since then, it has continued to win awards for 40 years, and it has also earned numerous gold medals at sake competitions in Japan and abroad. It is the signature junmai daiginjo of our brewery. Carefully selected Yamada Nishiki grown in Hyogo Prefecture is polished to 38% (rice polishing ratio), and most of the brewing steps, including washing the rice, steaming the rice, and koji making, are carried out by hand. The result is a supreme flavor. It offers a gentle aroma on the palate and an elegant taste that is Tanrei (light and crisp) yet opens up richly. We invite you to enjoy it.
