About

Gangi Junmai Ginjo Funade Arabashiri is an unpasteurized genshu (undiluted sake) bottled promptly from the freshly pressed sake that drips from the fune (traditional press) spout, before the sake is racked off its lees (kasubiki). A very small amount of sediment (ori) clings faintly to the bottom, making this an origarami sake. Aromas of green apple, a gentle sweetness, and fresh acidity give it a crisp finish. Production is limited to 450 bottles each of the 1.8-liter and 720 ml sizes. It is a once-a-year release, shipped in a single run, and represents the combined effort of everyone at Yaoshin Shuzo. Release timing: March.
