About

In those days, junmai sake made with yamahai shubo (a traditional yeast starter) and rice polished less finely than today was the mainstream, producing a rich flavor with a tangy acidity. Deliberately, this sake is left to spend the summer at room temperature to develop aged flavors. Warmed sake (kan) is recommended. On May 28, 2018, Tenpo Juusan Nen was selected as one of the top five in the junmai category for the Platinum Award at the Kura Master sake competition held in France. It was also selected for the Platinum Award in the junmai category at the 2019 Kura Master. In the 2020 Kura Master, it received a Gold Award in the junmai category.
